I try to go dry in January and haven't had so much as a sniff of the cooking sherry since New Year's Eve. However, I could kill for a Stella.

So, did anyone else make any resolutions and are you sticking to them?

After 21 consecutive resolutions and 21 consecutive failures to pack up the tabs, I didn't bother making one this year!

Never bother formalising anything like that, 'cos I only go and break them. Would like to get fitter, get rest of the house decorated, learn a foreign language, write something creative, join local sports club, get my arse into gear for some NUFC games and generally behave better 'cos I've been a Bobby (qv) at the end of last year.

And cut down on the makem jibes at work...maybe that last one is a bit much.
