curious to buy EOS 3000

I have found a good deal on an EOS 3000. Just curious if anyone has a comment on if it's a good camera to buy overall.

Since none of us on this forum are clairvoyant you're going to have to provide a little more information. What do you want to use a camera for? What's your skill level? What's your budget? Cameras aren't "overall" good or bad - they come down to what your needs are.

The EOS 3000 is Canon's low-end model; generally not sold in the US unless it's an import, as I recall. It's fine for snapshots and learning the basics, but has less room to grow than some other, only slightly more expensive, low-end Canons. I don't think I'd recommend it unless it's astoundingly cheap.

I’ve been researching this camera a bit and most reports have been good. I would recommend it as an excellent beginners choice as it is easy to use yet has more advanced capabilities if thats what you want to do. (Don’t listen to the previous report as he/she is obviously such an expert that they can’t relate to the amateur photographer with out sarcasm and arrogance.)

Yes, I realize it's shockingly arrogant of me to ask for clarification of a vague and fairly meaningless question.

By the way - I need a new car. What's a good car overall?

I just bought a canon eos 3000 for $250. I am a beginner and I want to learn photography. I will move up to a better one once I get better, but I recommend it if you have a low budget and just need a good camera to start out with. It has full manual control.

p.s. I also think that the previous response was from a complete and utter useless arrogant piece of shit. I really hate people that think it's their entitlement to make others feel stupid, beginner photographers are interested in becoming experts like yourself and we need advice, not criticism. You didn't have to respond that way, you worthless piece of garbage.

I want to help people learn, and I want to learn myself - I'm hardly an expert. Otherwise I wouldn't hang out here. However, it's rather difficult to provide a meaningful answer to an utterly vague question. Try to think about it for a few minutes. Really.

And why should anyone want to help you if you call them worthless pieces of garbage for trying?
