In God's Country

Still in the throws of a heavy cold so apologies now if I ramble more incoherently than usual. :-)

Wonderful week in Toon and Northumberland. My jaw is still sore from scraping the ground in awe of the beauty of Northumberland. Saw quite a bit thanks to Screach's tour and snowmobile service. Can't really pick out a favorite view as each little village and snow-covered landscape was more beautiful than the next. Also wonderful to see everyone again, and meet still more bbsers. Shame about a couple of the results, but still great to have a chance to be at SJP while we were top of the league and experience far more atmosphere than I've seen there in the past(Leeds last season being the next best). Hopefully I'll manage to get back before another whole year passes. :-)

Haste ye back Hinney. They're already missing you in The Plough. Even talking about levelling the hill for you next time round ;-)

As long as they keep the Smith's and Wild Famous Turkey Grouse flowing, I'll barely even notice. ;-)

I don't know, all these country pubs with irregular hours...it's a disgrace

Au contraire Bobby. They're very regular, if slightly at odds with the rest of the country ;-)

Have you had Giggsy's head in your mouth yet ????

-- Anonymous, January 07, 2002

LOL! No, but I've made up a proper black and white shirt for him to wear. Red just clashes with my decor. ;-))

Juts hope his battery doesn't run out.

...and just what 'head' is that you're on about?

We drove through Powburn on the 29th and saw the infamous Plough.

I stopped to get petrol but the law prevented a stop to drink.

Maybe next time..

Bud - last Wednesday LR gave Ciara a gift of peace. It was a Ryan Gigs motorised lolly holder. She didn't seem impressed for some reason but accepted it with the grace you'd expect of a lady.

Lancy got upset when painting in B&W stripes was mentioned - I don't know why coz we've got a better left winger now - initial LR - there's a thing.
