Using ATI AIW to capt VCD - cannot cap in stereo!?!?! Everything is great until I start capture then the TV window displays a green text message "MONO" briefly. When I check the file - its in mono! This happens for MPEG2 caps also... help!

Try some other channels. Sometimes your cable company screws up and some shows do accidentally get broadcast in mono. I've never seen this actually be the fault of the ATI card. I once had a TV show I record show up in mono for two days and then it was in stereo after that and I think either the cable company or the channel itself is to blame. If other channels are in stereo, you should be able to record them in stereo, thus proving the problem is not with your ATI card.
