I'm going to Peterborough on Tuesday!

Shouldn't you wait to see who wins before trying to get tickets? ;-)

Bollox: it may be the perpetual Hereford United flashes, but I HATE this sort of tie. Hope it's Darlo, though.

BTW, Bez predicted this on North East Sport a few weeks ago!

Haway man...it could have been a lot, lot worse:

Away to: Charlton / Spurs / Chelsea / Millwall / Wimbledon / Arsenal

I'll take Darlo or P'boro away...and both fine GNER destinations.

True and we SHOULD win...

If we can't win against either of them, we don't deserve to be in the competition. Far rather this lot than the names Benton mentioned.

True, Screach, but this competition is loved precisely because so many big clubs fall flat on their arses.

From the Darlo site. Quite touching actually:It Could Be Newcastle!

By Scott Thornberry Date: 6/1/2002

Darlington will earn themselves one of the biggest games in Darlington's history if they beat Peterborough a week on Tuesday. The winners of that game will host Newcastle United in the 4th round.

Bloody hell fire missus, Darlington will play Newcastle United at Feethams. But one thing stands in the way, PETERBOROUGH.

The stakes are now extremely high for the 3rd round tie. Darlington must surely win the game, but thoughts of Telford come to head aswell as Rochdale.

Watching the I expected us to get somebody like Gillingham away. But as the balls were coming out Darlington were still in there with the big boys. Ball 18 was pulled out for a home draw. I did say at the time "Newcastle and Man United are still in there". Then blow me down, out pops Newcastle.

It could see a return to Feethams of Olivier Bernard. Gary Caldwell could also return. But it would be the likes of Alan Shearer and Laurant Robert the fans would want to see.

You can help by praying for a Darlo win. If you say this prayer tonight before you go to bed then it may help.

Our Father, who art in heaven,

Thy Newcastle will come,

If we win Peterborough week Tuesday come.

Forgive us our crap passes,

as we forgive those who are crap against us.

Just let us win against Boro, for Feethams is the Kingdom, Taylor is the power, and Reynolds is the Glory.

Amen
