recipe site

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

My younger sister just sent me this: www.foodgeeks.com, it is one of those places you type in what you have and they fit a recipe around it.

Mitch,

Thanks, the site looks interesting. I had to play with it for a while. I came up with some interesting stuff to cook. Looks like a neat site for cleaning out the fridge.

Talk to you later.

Being a bachelor, I tried the site but had no luck. Apparently two swigs of milk that expire today, a slice of pepperoni and sausage pizza, half a Diet Pepsi, two cans of Lite beer, three tupperware containers of 'green stuff' and baking soda aren't the ingredients to anything. ;o)

The site works well with human food!!?

Yeah... maybe a trip to the grocery is in order, Mitch. I did find some popcorn to have for dinner tonight along with the pizza and Pepsi but I think I'm really out of food now, human or otherwise. ;o)

Gary! Go stock up on groceries!!!!!!!

It is a rule for being on the forum. "Thou must have at least one weeks groceries on hand!!"

(Please note: I am just having fun with you!)

My favorite recipe site is

I get alot of ideas from the forums. You can search on ingredients here too.

Mitch,

Thanks for the site! I have the hardest time figuring out what to do with leftovers! One of the easiest ways for me to ruin my food budget, not using up those bits and pieces. :(

Just for fun, I entered some things I have in my 'fridge right now and came up with an easy interesting recipe that I don't even have to buy anything extra for. I'll try it out this week.
