Which Elmarit 24mm type ?

Hi,

Do anybody can show me how to know if I have an Elmarit-R 24mm first type (11257) or second type (11221) ? Serial number : 2719295

Answers

You have the early version and yours dates from around 1975. However the first version was the 11221 which came at first with only two cams and with the arrival of the R3 was supplied with three cams. The 11257 was introduced in 1990 and only came with a R cam.

Thanks John, From the url address you gave me, I can see that the lens has the third cam. I found one reference http://www.imx.nl/photosite/leica/overview/listr.html But I still don't know how could I understand leica lenses type.
