Wow! Itīs 25 to 3 and Iīve got the webcast. Shome mishtake surely?

Not at all a cynical spell of getting their fingers out before starting to charge for it and going back to the usual sack of s**t service?

Whatever.

Howay the lads. Let's have a cup run to keep the spirits up.

Wahey!! What a pleasant surprise...webcast!!! I thought the FA had banned FAC webcasts. If this is a screw-up on .cock's part, it's a good 'un for once.

Howay the lads!! :-D

Nice to see the Makems getting run ragged by WBA! And did you see how many empty seats there was?!?!?!? I'd be surprised if there was over 30,000 there today!

Anyway, enough of that...HOWAY THE LADS!

Congrats on your new grandson, Buff! Still recovering from the trip and will probably spend much of this weekend trying to catch up on the bbs now that I've almost caught up on email. Had a great time, 2 results apart, but way too short a trip. Then again, anything less than living there is too short for me. ;-))

Hello and Happy New Year. Kegsy and Wonkey : this Dagenham and Redbridge team is busy isn't it, beating Leicester and Ipswich in one day - that puts them into round 5 already. Are Dagenham taking on Ipswich while Redbridge tackle Leicester, or vice versa?

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Bernard shot saved on the line. We have to score soon!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Had we scored at that point, I was thinking I'd have to spend the rest of hte match standing in my closet as I'd gone in to get a sweater.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

LOL @ barry!

They are 2 teams right? :O)))))))))))))))

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Kegsy

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Happy New Year everyone and congrats buff.

Dag and Red are 1 up against Ipswich. Leicester are beating Mansfield....

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Good evening ladies and gents, Singapore clique signing in.

Come on Toon give us some confidence for the second half of the season!!!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

I was busy cleaning the badge on my round neck Toon top when that goal when in...I think I'll go back to working on it... ;-)

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

"plate of meat", Del Boy ;-)

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Free kick, Derek. Unstoppable blast through the wall from Solano knock-on apparently.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

We have now to get in a position, another two goals perhaps to enable YBR to sub the `so called weary`- sign of a half decent outfit if we can, pile the pressure on lads.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Wonkey sorry I underestimated the guy.

Isnt he a one what???

Written off at begining of season by the southern hacks.

great stuff

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Shearer stuck a low hard drive through the wall from a free kick which nestled in the corner.

A bit like the one Bartez got to against ManUre last Wed.

Half Time 1-0!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Good morning everybody. Is everyone getting the webcast OK? I get everything, including the little message that it's playing, except I get no sound at all. Either the commentators both have laryngitis or something is screwed up.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Kegsy or others, half time patter, no mention on the forum or I may have missed it but two guys at work today over lunch were discussing this Japanese guy who comes over to the toon and idolises Big Al and according to them was introduced to him within the last two weeks. According to the Scouser and Jock he was a teacher in Japan, I felt a right diddy as I did not know diddly squat about it. Advise

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

webcast loud and clear here. Maybe try stopping and restarting it?

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Southpaw, are your speakers switched on? ;O)

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Yeah, the speakers are on. I checked BBC Five Live and got their usual message about legally not being able to webcast so the speakers are working. I've tried it off and on a couple of times to no avail. I'll keep working at it.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Buff, there was a piece in the Ronnie on that guy earlier this week. He's flown over 4 times in the past year, costing something like 11,000 pounds each trip. There was a photo of him meeting Big Al in front of the players tunnel.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Southpaw, 5 Live never broadcasts premiership matches on the web. You'll have to listen to .cock's webcast.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

How.

Just listened to the first half in the bath.

Crap commentator up to his usual tricks:

- Can't pronounce "Dabizas"
- Can't tell Birmingham apart from Burnley
- Thinks Palace are playing two goalies ("Their goalkeeper's come out, and so has Kolinko").
- Makes a goal sound like a near-miss. You can't tell what's happened until he elaborates a minute later.

Still, no "weapons of mass destruction" analogies yet (that's a real daisy cutter of a shot") so its not all bad.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Buff - I haven't heard anything about it. I thought I was the only one who wore my toon colours around here. I'll keep an eye out for him! But would be interested in hearing more if you have any details

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Success! I went on the Windows Media Player thingy and began clicking on buttons and... Voila! Noise! I always thing that taking the scientific approach to these problems is the best idea.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

See Ciarra`s post above

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Here we go. Come on lads quick second goal.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Distin booked.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

2nd half started. Let's give Bellamy some much needed shooting practice! :-)

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Off yit -Off noo, howay the lads in the black n white sharts

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Quick second goal looks like it's coming. Only not to us.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Speed crocked. Perhaps.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Perhaps not.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Just before ko, they said Speed had a swollen ankle on Weds. Wonder if he's aggravated that same injury?

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

11 grand a trip? What does he fly - a private jet? It only costs about 600 pounds for a return.....I wonder if he's someone I used to teach!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

"Craig Craig Bellamy:

He can't beat a keeper one on one, one, one."

(Due acknowledgement to whichever BBSer came up with that one.)

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

1-1

Doesn't count though.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Stoke 0-1 Everton

Walter safe for now....

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Offside.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Speed off injured, Acuna on...

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Lets take that as a wake up call. Come on !! get a grip !!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

I'm out of here. Can't stand listening on the radio unless we're thrashing them. Sheffield Wednesday 8-0 sort of thing.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Not sure what that says about your teaching, Kegsy! ;-))

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Shag, go sxxg yourself, people on here with potential ability to pass out when they see your post, aaaaagggghhhhhh

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Though I may not be remembering the details correctly...not unusual for me ;-). Maybe it was 11,000 gbp total??

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

When's our next match?

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Who's this 'Dabidas' guy? ;-)

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Sudden, one game at a time sweet lord, last thing we require is a replay.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Z. It's really simple. zzzzzzzzz. Zeeeee. Try it sometime, stupid commentator. :-)

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Leeds at home on Sat I think Sudden

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

I am absolutely terrified. If we can't score from these chances, Palace will. Probably Riihilahti or someone. Bloody hell.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Hehe buff, solly :p

Ok, thx hiro. finally we get a weeks rest!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

SHEARER WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Bollox, offside! ;O)

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

quick summary somebody, are we on top, how are we playing,

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

11 k total is more realistic but it's still a bit steep! I think that would be a compliment of my teaching!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

In his excitement, the commentator has finally remembered how to pronounce 'Z'.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Summary....barn door and banjo come to mind, right now.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Afternoon all how are we doing? Playing well? Come on the toon.....1-0 + many more

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Kegsy, good about the Toon faith. I thought you might be referring to paying way over the odds for a plane ticket. ;-))

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Jeeeeez...we're letting them back in! Howay lads, DEFEND!!!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Got back into the game Buff and coming closer but still unable to break them down. Bellamy causing them lots of problems and Shearer sounds sharp.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Norwich 0 -0 Chelsea....cmon Norwich, a last minute goal would be good!!!!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

cheers hiro

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Afternoon all...access to PC previously denied by daughter obsessed with The Sims. Sky Sports say we're involved in "a cracking Cup tie". Has the attendance been announced?

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

ACUNA!!!!!!!!!!!!! 2-0

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Bliddy linesman....flags for offside when we've got a goal, but leaves his flag down when we don't have as much chance. grrrrr

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Yesssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Thats more like it! Wonkey your at least minute ahead of the webcast!!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Sudden-ly I`m twice the man I used to be,

Thanks to wee Clarence Acuna tee-hee

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Crowd is 38,089

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

As I was saying - Metro goon seems to think the multiple offside decisions correct. This means that either he's an idiot (my personal opinion, that we don't understand the offside rule, or that Palace run the best offside trap in the country...

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

OH FACKIN HELL withg a late flag again!!!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Whoops, he did it again.

Metro boys really first rate mediocrity.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Hiro, webcast is 1 min behind Sky Sports Soccer Sat!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

I"m convinced it's impossible to really get a good idea of what's happening with Metro's commentators. I would never have believed we were playing so well until seeing for myself the past 3 matches.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Eh.....who are the subs? It sounded like we just put on 3 subs, took 2 players off. ehh?????

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Anelka has got his first for Liverpool

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Why do I get the awful feeling we'll draw Liverpool in the next round?

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Back.

Er ... what the feck's the score? Did Acuna's count or not?

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

2-0 to us. Somehow Acuna slipped one in before the offside flag could be raised. ;-))

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

2-0 4th round draw is 8.45pm tomorrow night...after Villa v Man Utd.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Ta.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Oh dear...back to the 'Dabidas' again...

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Yep...2-0

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Shag told you once, your a major contributor to cardiac failure with posts like that, whatever happened to Rik btw

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Mick Martin having a whinge about the lack of entertainment in this match. Winning is what counts though!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

one thing for sure is we will not be drawing Sunderland next round!!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Shearer lets Bernard take the free kick...puts it just over the bar

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Soz.

First post re. "1-1, no it isn't" was written "live", as it were.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

FT! Bring on round 4!

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

In real time.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

4th Round here we come... please give us a nice tie at home....

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

What about someone whingeing at Mick Martin for the lack of entertainment in his leaden, miserable, stating the bloody obvious commentaries?

Never mind. Good result lads. That'll do me.

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002

Aye, that's right. Good result. Early days...but wouldn't it be fabulous to see Sir Bobby holding the Cup on May 4th?

-- Anonymous, January 05, 2002
