Didn't the club promise to look at contracts in January? I see Shola has committed until 2006. What will happen to Rob Lee, Barton and Hughes? Also, I imagine this will be the month they'll try to sort out Dyer.

I've put this elsewhere, but there are one or two reports that regarding signing Distin, PSG are now holding out for £5million. Is he worth this?

Well, I'm starting to think that Shola is being put in the shop window. £2.5-3m maybe less. A Caldwell might help with another £1m.

That's one of the points I was trying to make, Bill. PSG want us to agree a fee now.

It's a pity but I think we'll be saying "au revoir" to at least one Caldwell soon and, unless he sees a couple of fisrt team starts, I think we may see the back of the other. Despite what we say about the great kids we have coming through (and I'll admit I've said a lot), the only youth team product who gets a game regularly is Hughes (we can't count Elliott really) which is a sad indictment.
