Better holidays in Japan?

I've noticed that the Nikkei stock exchange hasn't changed for almost a week now. I also noticed during some other holidays that they close more days than the NYSE. Do they take much longer holidays than us? If so, I may consider living there!

It wouldn't be worth the cost of living and the lack of space. It is incredably crowded, they have hotel like roomlettes which consist of a burth, on in a stack of 4 high which they use when traveling to another area.

Cherri is absolutely right. My brother and his wife spent some time in Tokyo last year. Fortunately they had a friend who was out of town and had invited them to use his apartment. They still had to spend tons of money, e.g. $5 for a cup of coffee.

I think the name of the Japanese holiday is Golden Week. Try looking it up on a search engine to see what it is about.
