Lolo speaks: he's not playing tonight

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

1. Will you be playing against Man Utd tonight?

No, because of my hip. I could hardly strike the ball at the end of the Chelsea match so I spoke to Bobby Robson and he decided not to risk me. I need to take care as I've been dragging this injury around for weeks.

2. When will you be back?

Hopefully against Leeds next weekend which means missing the Cup game this weekend.

3. The manager must be disappointed that you can't play?

Yes, but it's important that I get back to 100% for the rest of the season. The match tonight will be very hard for us as Man Utd are on a great run and I think a draw would be fantastic.

4. What happened on Saturday?

Basically we didn't create much and we came up against a great Keeper in Cuducini. Once again, I didn't get great service on the left. To me, though, a draw would have been fair.

5. Did you talk to Gallas?

Yes, we had a laugh. He said he was very happy at Chelsea and then the daft tw*ts (trans: "cons" - slightly more vulgar than "idiots") got beaten 4-2 by Southampton - they are really crap!

This doesn't dissapoint me one bit. Maybe the reason he's been so bad is because of this injury. If it is, it would be worth resting him the entire season if it meant he returned to the form we all know he is capible of.

Thanks Dougal.

Jim, I'd like Robert to be available to do what he did against Arsenal!

Thanks Dougs. I'd like Robert to go off to France, see whatever specialist he needs and get sorted. Give him 2 weeks to sort himself out.
