The pantomime season was in full swing at Littletown after bad light amazingly brought a premature end to a thrilling penalty shoot- out. After over half an hour of shooting from the spot and 34 successful penalties the West Riding County Amateur League Premier Cup clash between Littletown and Storthes Hall was called off as darkness set in with the score locked on 17-17. Its the first time that a clash has been called off during a shoot-out and league official Philip Rhodes was staggered.Normally shoot-outs last 10 minutes at the most, but this just kept going he said. I've spoken to a couple of the players and they feel the referee was right to call it a day. There's no lights at Littletown and by the end they were relying on street lights and car headlights. The two goalkeepers couldn't see properly and i don't think there was any arguments that the ref did the right thing..
