Here's the promised haiku...'
Spread across the sky
Are angels' wings of glory
Sunset's bright beauty.
.
Christmas lights twinkle
Presents wrapped in bright colours
Creche warmly glowing.
.
Family gathers
Warm hugs shared freely around
Well wishing abounds.
.
There. Three for the price of one ;-) Hope you've enjoyed them!

"angel's wings of glory"Tricia, you're gifted! I love this place and all the writers.
BTW, I saw the most beautiful sunset I've ever seen on my way to Banff to meet you. The colors were magnificent!
Pink and purple swirls
Above rugged mountain peaks
I'll never forget!
-- Gayla (privacy@please.com), December 30, 2001.
Thanks for the kind wordsMany blushes cover my face
Yet I love the praise!

Gayla, we get that kind of sunset frequently, minus the mountains. We'll be close to Banff for a weekend seminar in mid-January, actually in the place where they're planning to hold next year's leadership summit. It's gorgeous even in winter, but cold. We're at -18 for a high today, I think (that's 0F for those in of you back in the dark ages of imperial measurements ;-)) Hopefully I'll be inspired to give you some more haiku from that. Meanwhile, the frost on the trees this morning inspired this:
.
Trees standing like brides
All dressed in dazzling white gowns
Welcome winter's morn.

If God wanted us to measure things in metric, he wouldn't have given us twenty fingers and toes ......

LOL, Robert! That's why we use metric here in the Great Frozen North... who want's to take off their boots/mukluks to count toes?? Bad enough to remove those mitts! ;-)
