There is a fascinating piece - which I can't find on their website so I can't post a link - about the results in matches between the top teams. They have published the results of all matches between Toon, Arse, Chelsea, Liverpool, Leeds and Manure, then created a league table from same.

Guess who's top! With 10 points from 5 games the Mighty Mags lead the table. Arse are second with 10 from 6 then come Chelsa, Liverpool, Leeds and finally, with only 1 point from 5 games, Manure!!

It can't last ............ can it?

Great stats. Jacko, more the pity that we've hoyed points away against the less fancied teams :-(

I'd been going to do this in a statto like table. Mainly cos it showed how poorly Man U did against the better sides, and how their fantastic run of late against Derby, Boro and Soton wasn't that special.

Fair comment Macbeth, if we can NOT lose to our (more favoured) challengers (we're doing fine so far) and 'do the biz' against the others then, we are gonna go all the way :-)
