Kitchen scales

Greetings,

I'm interested in purchasing a kitchen scale. I don't want to spend too much, but I don't want the one at the dollar store either. Not sure if I want a dial face or digital, but my thinking is that digital would be more accurate. I'd like it for weighing cuts of meat, ingredients for soap making, etc. Which one do you prefer or which one should I stay away from?

I have the dial face, which I like because it doesn't require batteries; to set to zero, I just turn a knob and don't have to worry about buttons not functioning. It takes up space in the kitchen, but I use it constantly, so I keep it on the counter. As for accuracy, most measuring devices require calibration every so often, especially the digital ones.
