Hi

I have a minolta x700 without a flash unit. What are the possible flash units that will fit this camera. Nothing great, I'm just a beginner Thanks

John

To maintain TTL flash, any Minolta flash ending with "PX" should work. 360px, 280px, and 80px off the top of my head. There are also 3rd party flashes by Vivitar and such that work well. I have a Vivitar 5200 with the dedicated manual Minolta foot/adapter that is great. I also have a 280px that is nice and small, great for macro work when used with an off-camera rig.

Keep in mind that many camera brands have 3 contacts like the x700 (and x570) but they are NOT interchangable.

You can also use any single contact flash, but you lose the TTL functionality.
