Players pre match

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

I could do with some help from those of you who have some idea about the players' pre match routines.

I've got tickets for the Palace game for us and also for Mr Jacko's nephew and his little lad - both are Port Vale fans really but they wanted to come and see the new, improved SJP! Anyway, nephew's little lad James is a glory hunting b@sta@rd and is in love with Shearer (he's only 5 so it's allowable). Nephew was wondering what sort of time the players arrive before the game so he could be there and let James get a "close-up" view of AS and if he's lucky, an autograph. I assume they come in at the main entrance under the Milburn Stand but has anyone got any ideas of time etc.?

I kow you lot are all usually in the pub until 5 mins before kick off so I don't know why I'm bothering to ask really!!

Are they not at the Copthorne Hotel at 11.30, getting to the ground at 1.30?

Jacko, as another idea bairns (big and small) often enjoy watching the players go through their warm up routines as well, from about three quarters of an hour before kick off. Assuming you've seats close enough to see

Dave, not according to Lolo but I guess he may be wrong or maybe they vary it depending on season etc.

If my memory serves me well (ahem!) didn't Prince Phillipe used to get changed in the bogs in the Straabeery and run owa the road just before KO? Sorry Jacko - nee bliddy use as usual :-( Why not give the club a call? They might even invite you in to meet the lads (well, probably not).
