Medium Format?!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread

Hello out there,

I have not used this Discussion Board in over 10 months. I see not a lot has changed. Well, besides the passing of the creator's dog- My sincere condolences for that.

And now to my question. I Have among my arsenal of cameras, a Mamiya RB67 and a Bronica ETRSi. I love both cameras dearly as my basis for large(r) format shooting. Now the question is without having to go out and buy a monorail Camera, is there anyway to get that sharpness I see in the monorail through my medium formats? If so, please advise because at the lowest possible Fstop (32-22) I still do not see the sharpness that i experience with a borrowed View Camera..

I believe that full sharpness is not attained at either end of the f stops. But rather somewhere in the middle; f 8 or 11 for most lenses. Are you confusing depth of field with sharpness?
