The location for the Night O practice for Wed Dec 26th will be in the parking lot of the shelter (6?) up on the hill, at the Southwest corner of the lake. It's the one directly across from the Streamway trails parking lot, and down the hill from the archery and tower lots.

Should be a fun and challenging course: 6 controls and 3.8 km. Starts at 6 PM (plus or minus)!

Last night's O practice was a success. 7 showed up to run my first attempt at a real O course. Other than placing one control too low (but still in the circle) I think it went well. Next practice Jan. 10th, 6 PM, Streamway Trail Parking Lot at extreme north end of SMP.

I must point out that Mary's DNF is with an asterix. She had trouble with her headlamp and found herself standing in the forest with no light. There was a problem with the workmanship on the plug that connects her battery to her lamp. When I bought the plug and wired it up, I thought it would work -- but, I guess I'm not much of a electrician! I should have it repaired in time for the next night O'!
