Questions??

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

The one thing that our recent success has brought is the onslaught it has had on this BBS. All good as they say over in these parts!

Seriously though, how far is it since our miserable performances against West Ham, Liverpool, Fulham and Spurs??? How many cries for added strength to the midfield???? How many people were saying that YBR had lost it (especially after Spurs).

Now the rose tinted glasses are on full and we all of a sudden are out to win the title???? Have we really come that far in a month or two???

Certainly we have a bit of confidence now and we are on a bit of a good patch, but that will do nothing if we finish out of the running for honours this season. Having YKD back has boosted the morale of everyone.

As Bobby says... nothing is won in December. Show me the money in May, Bobby.... Show me the money in May!!!!

Sparxx - I still believe YBR made a major mistake against Spurs. Just imagine if we'd won that one ;-) The team are beginning to believe in themselves and the return of Little Kevin is like a brand new signing. I hope Cort's return is as impressive, whenever it may happen.

...and not to mention Marecllino ;7)

The rose tinted glasses are most certainly not on my head. Regardless of how we played we could so easily have lost against both Arsenal and Leeds and now be sitting in 6th or 7th place - not really title place.

Paul, it's not only @rse and Leeds. The Smoggies, Notlob and Toffees could/should have ben well ahead before we got back into those games. But the fact is - we did! Hard that it is to believe, we have wone every away PL game we have played ootside Lahndaan this season (not to mention the one we won in Lahndaan too - oh, OK, we beat @rse!). The encouraging thing that I take from that is that we have the mettle to come back from a set back. It was probably the KK years the last time I could still feel OK if we went one down. Not there yet but the feeling is coming back. Self-belief - isn't it a marvellous thing!

agreed Screach, our new found comeback ability is truly amazing. I just wish everyone would take a breath and realise that the race is still a long one and all we have successfully done is put a target on our backs. It's been a good run, but we mustn't let our foot off the peddle. Let's just hope we have enough gas to finish this bugger.

I think we look more the part than we have for ages, and that's not just my Elland road glasses giving me a rose coloured viewpoint.

Not saying he shouldn't be in the side, but I see Dabz being out as a bit of a blessing in disguise. Distin can now make a real name for himself - I hope he doesn't blow it.

Bring on the smogs.

I got a lump the size of an egg on my thigh from colliding with Leeds seats during the festivities.

And no, it's not just a dropped b*****k.
