no new players yet

Just reading the papers, in the Mirror, BR quoted as saying we have no money to go out and buy players, like Leeds. However watching him on the news last night, he was alluding to buying one more player. Although it didn't seem a signing was imminent.

Maybe the board are being stingy - wouldn't suprise me.

According to yesterday's Ronnie, YBR is keen to turn Sylvain Distin's loan period into a permanent move. "We like Distin very much and he is here on loan until the end of the season". Well, at least he got that right and didn't say how much he'd grown since his "Maric" broke down a few months ago.

I tire of reading this sort of viewpoint. Bobby spent £16m in the summer (and spent it very well too). He has also spent on Gavilan and Bassedas (seemingly wastefully to the tune of £7m) and been very unfortunate to lose Cort (another £7m). How many other managers have had that sort of cash? NONE who were not in Europe that's for sure. The board has supported Bobby (like RG, KD and KK) probably beyond the limits of financial prudence, judging by the crashing share price. They should be given credit for their support for the manager.

Jonno, I agree but there is also no better time than now to procure a decent new signing.
