Anybody familiar with Onebox.com? Seems to be good

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I made a complaint today about a spam message. One of those, "I'm from Africa, stole lots of money, became a Christian, want to give it to your ministry" stories. It came from Onebox.com. They sent me back a message in a couple hours time and said they'd taken care of it.

I was so impressed with their reply, I checked out their site and wound up signing up. Seems to be a good service, and you can have emails sent to your onebox.com address forwarded to your real one. A good option, therefore, for posting to CF. Better than hootmail and Yahoot. (Sorry, Hoot, couldn't resist that.)

Anybody have any experience with this service? It's all free, by the way, with voicemail, fax, and email. Just wondering....

Hey Randal, I got an e-mail like that once, I couldn't believe it!!!

I never thought to complain, I just deleted it...

I usually just delete spam, but once in a while I get so tired of it, I complain to the provider through which it was sent. If it's Yahoo or Hotmail, they ignore it. So I was especially impressed to get a quick reply from Onebox.com. These days, half my email is spam, which adds up to 50 or so messages a day. Spam is the great curse of the Internet, because it makes things more expensive for everyone. But enough letting off steam.

A very warm and blessed Christmas season to all. May you enjoy extended family, good food, cherished memories, and and divine grace in its many forms.
