Early Christmas Wishes

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Country Families : One Thread

I know many of you check in at work, and some of you are traveling this weekend, so I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas, if you won't be on until after the holiday. I hope you have a wonderful holiday with family and friends.

Remember that it is the people who matter, not the perfect gift, or the perfect meal. I think of all the people who won't be here this year, and it makes me appreciate the family I have even more.

So to all of my new forum friends, May you have a Happy Holiday and a wonderful Christmas!!!

Yes, I'm going to be extremely busy the next few days. I am having our family Christmas dinner Sunday and Monday we are going to see my inlaws since my fatherinlaw just got out of the hospital and won't be able to come here Sunday. Monday will be a fairly quiet day just my husband and myself but I know from past experience, I will get lots of phone calls! MERRY CHRISTMAS to everyone! Have a safe weekend.

Merry Christnas to all.

Yesterday was my last day to work until the day after Christmas, and I'm cleared to be off next week if I can make it down to our Homestead. What a relief, as I encounter so much stress on the job (I work in the State system). We have plans to visit with or host all of our family this year (we are quite spread out, and this does not always happen).

Melissa you are so right. I got out of the gift giving loop at work, years ago, but some dear co-workers still get me a gift (one was a nutritional healing book the size of a dictionary ). It makes me feel guilty at first, and then I realize that they know they can count on me whether they need a spot loan (this was always easy when we were saving for our acreage), or a potted comfrey plant for a spouse to experiment with for a back that just won't heal after surgery, or in the bosses case hard work day after day to get the job done by deadline.

Here's wishing everyone health, "wealth", and happiness.

Merry CHRISTmas to you all.

Merry Christmas to all my American friends. I hope it brings you everything you desire. Remember that Jesus is the reason for the season. The children decided this year we would be having a birthday cake on Tuesday, because it is Jesus' birthday.

God bless you all

Merry Christmas from our Family to yours. Southern Indiana will not be a white one this year but we are predicted to be 10 degrees.
