Hi

Who has done the following. I want to print a picture I made but blur out the faces of the people on the picture. Now I could scan it into my computer but I don't have a good quality photo printer and I want an endurable print. Anyone any tips on how to do this the 'old fashioned' way? I have been thinging about using a pen with soluble ink but that would leave real white spots I guess. Another thought was using e.g. clear hair gel, put small drops on the places of the faces. Either directly on the paper (wash it away before developing) or on a glass plate.

comments are appreciated...

regards

Reinier

If you are printing an 8x10 or larger you can suspend a piece of glass about 3" over the easel. Project the negative through the glass and carefully place vaseline in the spots you want to diffuse. This will keep the negative clean. Make the piece of glass one size larger than the print so you can put it on blocks... just a thought. Cheers, Scott
