Xmas message to you all

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Sorry for the slight delay in this but I received a Xmas card from Jenny Dixon and the girls on Wednesday morning.

Apart from confusing me greatly as I have never in my life met a Jenny Dixon, it then made sit back from the euphoria of being top of the league and picture the joy that would have been had by Ken at our return to the pre-eminnent position in English football !!

How strange - I was just sat here thinking about Ken, and some of the daft jokes etc. I used to receive from him. Your right, he would be chuffed to nuts over our position this Christmas.

If anyone is in touch with the Dixons over Christmas, please let them know that we are thinking of them.(:o)

Thanks, Macca. Jenny and her kids are a credit to Ken. Although meeting on the saddest of occasions she was dignified and carried the day as best as anyone in the circumstances.

As for the big fella himself, I'm sure he would be top of the posts gladly informing our makem cousins of their shortfalls compared to our leap into the (almost) unknown. Pint of fizzy for the grey haired lad, mate :-)

Merry Xmas Ken: we miss you.

While I'm on, a very Happy Xmas and a happy and successful New Year to all my cyber-marras on here - you're a wonderful group of people with which to spend so much time.

Errata...read as "spend too much time" ;-)

Cheers for putting that up mac. I dropped by the ground when I was in Ncle on Monday to take a look at ITK's stone. Took me a while to find it (obviously the auld bugga was on his way to Highbury). So who can drop by on their way to Leeds and give it a rub ?
