will a Leica M 50/2 Dual range summicron work on a M6TTL?

Hi Folkes, anyone with experience and feedback on this lens would be appreciated. Also the value of this lens. I also presume it will work okay without the eyes. Thanks in advance,

You can use it with the eyes if you remove the protruding tab that fouls the top plate on the TTL. On early eyes file it off while later ones can be unscrewed.

Sparkie:

I use this lens on a NON-TTL M6 with excellent results. A word of caution. I attempt to set the lens near infinity when I mount or dismount the lens. This keeps the rangefinder arm of the body from impacting the steep cam angle at the transition from normal to near focus operation. This may not be a problem, but that's the way I use it with good results.

Good luck.

I have bought the lens. Mty experience is as follows:

1). u can't use the eyes as mentioned above. the 2mm xtra height on the ttl body obstructs this possibility unless u (ruthlessly) file it off

2). the close focus will not work very easily as i experience the back end protrusion of the lens to hit the focusing cam. it can be done, but not without a little pressure and hitting of camera components. so i don't use it at all.

3). yes, as said above by Mark, you have to fit the lens when it is set on infinity otherwise it will not lock on due to the lens barrel hitting the focusing cam

Lastly, it is a wicked lens of superb build. get one!
