Asked about the penalty decision, Poll said: "It looked a clear tackle from behind and the only reason I did not send off the Arsenal player (Campbell) was that I thought the Newcastle player (Robert) was running away from the goal when he was fouled."

"running away from the goal" Eh? You mean he was rounding the keeper. What a prat.

I think what he said Nick, was that "the ball was running away from the Newcastle player and therefore was not a solid goalscoring opportunity". He is still a pr!ck, Bellamy did nowt wrong, saw thr replays from all angles, nowhwre, no how, not ever was it "violent conduct with the Newcastle player striking the opponent in the face" Puck him. 3-1 us, top of the world, yes that's us Ma!! Love it.

From my excellent viewing position (by the time Robert was that close to goal I was hanging from the ceiling light and chewing the shade), it looked to me like Campbell may have got the ball. However, if he did, it was from behind and with both feet, and it looked as though the keeper was after Robert`s legs too. So I don`t think it was an iffy decision. As for Robert `running away from the goal when he was fouled`.....what tosh! (:o)
