Came on here to post exactly the same thing. The bias of the press is unbelievable.

What about the handball in the build up to their goal? Parlour etcs continued niggly fouls all the way through the first half?

It's not even accurate....Given didn't stand his ground against Kanu's chance...he went to ground. Shearer did elbow Keown but it was accidental, he wasn't even looking at him as he went for the ball. Keown had spent the whole game pulling and shoving at Shearer/Bellamy.

Absolutely churlish....Even Ananova are reporting that it was not a penalty.....Bizarre cos it definitely looked like a tackle from behind to me!

That's just plain old bollocks. Even Sky stats showed 2nd half we had the vast majority of the ball. Tossers. Keown got what he dished out all night. I thought Al meant it, but maybe I just wanted him to. Also Shearer clearly is seen to tell Poll 'he didn't touch me' and was one of the first to attempt to restrain than loon Frenchman Henry. Guess that doesn't count either.

And it was a penalty. 1st look, I thought Robert dived but the opposite camera angle shows Campbell take his trailing leg down before he took the ball. If you want a truly world class sliding tackle see Gerrard's vs Fulham last week. Bobby Moore-esque
