Look we KNOW we won't win the bloody league - it was about the performance and beating the jinx against the odds.

IMO it was all about character, bottle, guts, resilience, team spirit, and ultimately skill.

Overall, we had more of most of these attributes - who would have thought 12 months ago we could be saying that tonight?

....or even three or four months ago. Meanwhile Hills have slashed the odds on a Toon Title from 25/1 to 11/1. (Yeah I know we won't win it but I'm savouring every last drop of the moment)

Can't see us winning the league this season, either, but it's nice to get a taste of the feeling.

Watch that twat Uri Geller try and take all the credit! ;))

Henry is a fucking miserable wanker, if that's not bringing the game into disrepute or even incitement to riot then I don't know what is!

Poll was absolutely shocking....i'd predicted to the missus before half time that bellamy would get sent off around the 70th minute mark to even things up......

Don't forget gang, the ref really did change the game here.....we were outclassed and overwhelmed in the first 30 mins. They were playing a different class of football to what we're capable off. I'm not saying don't enjoy it! just keep your feet on the ground ;))

I agree with you Gav. Being top of the league is fun for us, but it means nothing at this stage of the game. What is important is that we really kept playing against them. We were very lucky not to be several goals down by half time (I think the Gods were on our side). The ref definately had an impact on the game, but in the first half I thought Arsenal were getting a lot of decisions go there way. The second half was really well fought, despite the ref`s interference.

Nice to see us being gracious in victory too! Henry`s tantrum was pathetic and could have quite well sparked off some serious trouble in the ground. (:o)

extremely funny, Henry has as soft predicted turned into a twat

Arsenal played some unbelievable football during the first 30 minutes. However, they need to learn that a game lasts 90 minutes, and that if you don't turn superiority into at least a second goal in the PL you very often lose. We learned that the hard way, and now they are.

The game bore remarkable similiarities to their home game v Charlton, which they also lost. IMO, they ran themselves out in the first 30 minutes, and were then physically unable to compete thereafter - especially as they also had play with 10 men v 11 for 15- 20 minutes.

Moral - learn your own lessons and don't blame the opposition/referee for your own failings.
