Wenger gracious as ever

If it had been 11 v 11 we would have won this game comfortably.... we lost a lot of energy when we were playing with 10 men. Logic not his strong point given the score was level at 10 v 10 and all? And they call him The Professor...

YBR was right in his post match assessment - about teams need to accept defeat graciously. Arsenal are a class team and unlucky to lose but they just need to accept it and move on. God knows we've had to.

There is alot to admire about Arsenal but Wenger's attitude is not part of it and Henry's behaviour was pathetic.

Still love Viera though.

That is the point, Lynda: the times other teams have twocked points off us...

We've done the ungrateful git a favour. In the morning papers he said if he could win all of his next 3 matches he would drink nothing but water for 3 years.

He's now free to go and drown his sorrows.

Too true Dougal. I was waiting for Arsenal to score a spawny equaliser in the last 5 mins so when we scored again........incredible.

On reflection, just what the hell is the sum total of what they whinging about anyway?

We both had players sent off, and imo Bellamy's was even less justified than Shirley Temple's.

When Bellamy was sent off it was 1-1 and 10-10, so to speak. They are contesting the penalty. But it is just that - "contested". I've seen a replay and thought it was indeed a penalty. Out of interest, I've just heard the most biased report I've ever heard on 5Live where the reporter said Campbell was penalised for "a wonderful tackle" - at best, it was dubious, so for gawd's sake let's try to be objective.

Final point - even if Graham Poll were to decide tomorrow morning he was wrong and strikes out the penalty - then the final score is 2-1.

Next?

Tackle from behind - dangerous for his opponent. Should have been sent off!!

As the last man, Campbell absolutely should have been sent off Jacko.

I have a really uneasy feeling that Poll didn't dare take the red card out again for fear of a riot.

Agreed, on slo-mo it looked like a red card to me. Poll was awfull but not biased. Just wrong. A lot. Parlor - -1st yellow, no argument. Second, deserved a free kick but dubious yellow. Still, was from behind so treading on thin ice.

Bellamy - -didn't deserve ANYTHING from what I saw on Sky. Extremely harsh and a good case for appeal.

Penalty - come on. No doubt. Lucky to not get sent off. You can't tackle the last man like that in the box in today's game. No way.

'Bout time luck goes our way. How many should-have-won matches have we lost due to bad luck, bad refereeing, etc? TIWD! We deserve it, and no amount of whinging on the part of any journo or opposition player, manager or supporter is going to lessen it. :-D

I bow to your TV vision of the penalty but it really looked iffy ... maybe that Poll feloow is good! ;-) As for the Bellamy red I can honestly say that no-on saw it except Poll. All the Arse fans were as benused as me

Cole's reaction was shocking. If Bellamy caught him anywhere it his neck, but Cole (Ingerlan's saviour at left back) clutched his face in agony. Absolute disgrace. I think he was just as responsible for Craig's dismissal as Poll's crazy decision.

Very true Bobby, I'm glad you reminded me of that. I'm getting heartily sick of prima donnas auditioning for RADA when they ought to be playing foota

If Bellamy deserved a straight red for his assault on Cole, then Parlour should have been straight off earlier for his forearm against Dabizas. Bellamy wasn't even looking he was so concentrated on the ball, Parlour went for Dabizas.

Poll was just awful.
