Terry, life isn't always fair.

Better you than us ;-) Really.............

Alfie has a personality disorder it seems to me. Now he says he wants into the EOS system. What happens when they chuck him out of that - it will be the turn of Nikon. We certainly did the right thing!

Wouldn't life be dull without Alfie to tease ? I'm glad he is a good natured fellow. Happy holidays to all you Leicaphiles !

Judging from the quality of his photographs, Alfie would best benefit from joining a disposable camera forum.

Cheap shot, I know, but I just couldn't resist.

I would love to hear the philosophy of a dedicated disposable camera photographer.

Terry,

Don't knock disposables. You still have to be able to take a photograph to make the results worthwhile. Just

I hate it when I do that.

Tony,

Please also delete this childish and vindictive thread; it's out of place on a quality forum like this.

Tony,

Please also delete this childish and vindictive thread; it's out of place on a quality forum like this.

Wow, I leave home for a month and all of this happens. Story of my life. Delete; I vote no. In coming years we will look back at this and laugh. Everyone will be saying; I wonder what happened to Alfie. By-the-way, who is Alfie.

I miss everything.

Hey Alfie.. take my advise.. dont waste your money on new equipment.. learn to use what you have first then get yourself a disposable... you might be surprised how good the result are.

-- David (leicaulike@hotmail.com), December 18, 2001.

Alfie...we hardly knew you..................

-- (applemac97@aol.com), December 18, 2001.

My sympathies to the EOS forum. You are big and strong though, and I think you can survive this.

And please, don’t blame us. Alfie is only getting started. He would’ve gotten to you sooner or later. Who knows, sooner might be better?

Tony, please don’t delete anything. Censorship is darkness. I won’t try to divide our little village into pro-Alfie vs. anti-Alfie camps. Let’s just say the critics of Alfie’s critics are pretty consistent in defending a “right to express oneself” and I agree. And so do we all share this “right”?

“If you don’t like it, ignore it.” is the motto. Cuts any whichway I think.

Childish? Vindictive? So skip my post.

Alfie hasn't given up on Leica. He also found the Leica Users Group and is now pestering us there too! HE's EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!

Perhaps Alfie will learn something from this experience................................

-- Muhammad Chishty (applemac97@aol.com), December 19, 2001.

To be honest, the thing that interests me the most is not: which forum will end up still wanting to say "hi" to him, but: which camera company will he end up wanting to know all about. So.

-- Michael Kastner (kastner@zedat.fu-berlin.de), December 19, 2001.

I have not read the Alfie thread when writing this. He must have said something that was so bad as to bring out the responses from you guys. All I can say is give the guy a break. We sometimes say things that may differ and disagree totally with others way of thinking. My advice to Alfie is that you should pursue what you like to do and don't get bogged down with some nasty remarks by others in this forum. Don't quit as quitting will mean that you yourself is not convinced of your own cause. Take this episode of your photographic life as a stepping stone in the never ending world of exploring the attitudes of your fellow man through your camera/s. Regards/wong from Malaysia.

Maybe if everyone took pictures instead of worrying about Alfie...
