Hows about we beat Arsenal by 2 clear goals and go 1st on Tuesday night?
-- Anonymous, December 17, 2001
ooh, but i bet its the other way around and its a bigger number than 2! but imagine it...it's a warm nice feeling.

in that great book entitled "But what if ?" we all look at the horrors of West Ham and Spurs but do you realise that if we'd drwan 0- 0 with Liverpool we'd be top now ? (2 points less for them, one more for us, alterations to goal difference). That closeness to the top makes me feel the whole division is very much of a muchness.

Sh***ing one's pants also gives a warm feeling Swift, which is a happy coincidence as that's what'll happen if I allow myself to think too much about our position and / or our next few fixtures...

you're like a lucky leprachaun T i just know it
-- Anonymous, December 17, 2001
Don't we just have to win 1-0 to go top! I really don't know why I said that.
-- Anonymous, December 17, 2001
i bet its 2-1

Ignore me, I'm talking out of me backside.(No change there then.)

just don't look down. we might get vertigo.;-)
-- Anonymous, December 17, 2001
Hmmm.....maybe that's why I can't get overly excited about our league position yet, I'm afraid of heights unless there's a secure safety rail for me to latch onto. ;-))

Hopefully it's not a big rollercoaster ride where we are reaching the top of the very big drop, after which we go up, down, up, down until we're back where we started.

you'd make a great basketball coach Jonno

Why basketball specifically Swift?

I'm sure the Sunlun boys were at about this height last season, and they didn't even end up in the Intertoto Cup in the end.For those interested out 11 starters v Troyes at home were
Given, Barton, Hughes Dabizas, Elliot, Solano Lee Speed Quinn, Bellamy and Shola ..... 5 of those were on the pitch at the end on Saturday, not (generally) through injury but because O'Brien, Distin, Dyer, Bernard (or Robert) and Shearer have returned to the side. Any head start we had to the season should now be out of the way as we get our fit players back.
