Nice for a Dairy Goat Forum

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Dairygoats : One Thread

This is a good idea. Hope it works so I can meet more people that are owned by these darlings. :) I presenty have a small herd of 9 that I show and have on milk test.

this is great, but now i will have to add another goat list to my groups. I am a goat list junkie Hope it survives. Try advertizing on the yahoogroups.com lists to see if you can get more participation. Lots of other goat list junkies out there too.

This will be wonderful! Maybe we could put our breeds and state on our signatures so we know who we are. Gets hard remembering who has mini's and who has full size animals when we answer questions! Vicki

Hello, I think that the idea of everyone listing their names and breeds is a good one. It should be fun to visit and talk goats! Dont know about the rest of you but I never seem to get tired of them. ;)

Cool! A forum for the goat people and I recognize quite a few names that are here. I have Nubians, Buck is from Cream of Kansas bloodlines. A good friend and myself, really like Tecoa and her Nubians. He is a youngster, flashy brown and white (yes!!!!). My last buck Cream of Kansas Doughboy was a sweetheart but all the kids were brown. I have 2 doelings, 4 first fresheners, and one old doe. I have raised goats for many years and love all of them. I raise Nubians because I can only afford one breed and my favorite doe was Black Satin, quad doe out of Cold Comfort Hawthorne, her milk the best I had ever tasted, so I kept her and her doe kid. It was hard times and I could not afford goats. Sorry, goats are my favorite topic. lol

I'm Gloria in MD. We had dairy goats a few years ago and had to move. We had mostly La Manchas (still my favorite breed) from Worden's Acres. We have recently moved again and can have dairy goats again. I'm currntly looking for a few milkers or does due soon. I'm on the lower eastern shore of MD.

Good forum. We like Alpines but don't have any at this time. Hope to sell our home in Phoenix and move to the country. Like any and all info you can give on raising goats. We just joined the AZ Goat Assn. and hope to go to the shoes.
