Where are the Alps?

How far away from milan, italy are the alps. I am going to milan for a modeling trip and while i am here i want to see all there is to see and the alps is one. about the distance and travel time would be nice. also do they have tours avaiable and prices thanks!

You have to drive from 2 to 4 hours, depending on the location. f.i.:

Courmayeur (Mont Blanc): 2 hrs Cervinia (Matterhorn): 2 hrs Alagna or Macugnaga (Monte Rosa): 3 hrs Saint Moritz (Engadin-Switzerland): 2-3 hrs Val Gardena (western Dolomites): 3-4 hrs Cortina d'Ampezzo (eastern Dolomites): 4-5 hrs

No idea about tours and prices.
