Saw on icDP that we'll be sending a team to play Gateshead for a fund raiser. No mention of dates other than 'soon'. Anyone heard anything more?

Don't have any details of the game. There's been a lot on the local radio as Gateshead desperately need cash. Gazza has offered them £10,000 and Warren Barton was on the radio earlier offering to do something for them. Hopefully they should survive.

I think this is a great jesture by Gazza. Mind, I never realised John Gibson was Gatesheed's chairman. Nee wonder they got so much publicity in the Ronnie.

Gazza is reported as saying he thinks Shearer and Dyer should also donate cash. Why Dyer? He has no connection with Gateshead at all and shearer, although local, is from Gosforth. Seems a bit unfair to ask them but how about Judas Hutchison. He's Gatesheed born.
