An Italian man had part of his penis cut off by a vacuum cleaner while watching a porn film. The 63-year-old went to hospital claiming he had accidentally cut himself while shaving his pubic hair.

He was carrying the severed part of his penis in a sheet of newspaper.

Il Nuovo website reports that doctors informed police, who found the man's vacuum cleaner had traces of blood in it and a porn tape inserted in his video player.

The man, from Lugo di Ravenna, later admitted he inserted his manhood in the vacuum cleaner and had part of it cut off by the cleaner's fan.

He said he tried to preserve his penis part in a freezer while the ambulance was called to pick him up.

He has undergone surgery and the penis has been reattached, but doctors say they don't have much hope it will work properly again.
