I repeat off the official chewsea math thread_______
I cant beleive our lads cant beat this bunch of lazy cockney t***s. O of course its in london and we never win there, NO we fu****g dont why cos this bunch of overpaid fu**wits have an excuse not to every game theres no pressure on them , theyll be cut up about not winning i hear you say , O yes im sure right up untill they open their wage packets they will be. Im fed up to the back teeth of listening whilst we get no better season after season. We have had 2 maybe three good performances this season and we are VERY fortunate to be in the position we are. KEN----- pi**ed of beyond belief

Yea, I'm gutted too. But i believe that that Hasslebank would have put that in at any ground. Nothing to do with London.

Sorry but I think we are a very unlucky team. If anyone wants to break their duck or score a wonder goal, then we're the team they do it against.

Well I said I'd rather have the 3 points on Sat so............

No London jinx - we're simply cursed!

" If anyone wants to break their duck or score a wonder goal, then we're the team they do it against. "
Your dead right remember Ian Wright Robbie Fowler et al, but why its nowt to do with luck , its down to guys not working HARD Enough Shearer giving away needless free kicks people not being switched on enough , poor defenders poorer midfield . WE ARE JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

I feel sick, listened to the first half on the chelsea webcast, second half on metro. If we're gonna win chances have to be taken, Bellamy, shearer, O'brien all misse golden opportunities. To be fair they had their share also. It is now up to the lads to make December a good month, learn from this and improve your finishing (Bellamy) This lad should only practice one on ones with the keeper that's it.

I can't argue with you about tonight but I think we are probably as good as Chelsea most of the time. Of course it has to be pointed out that it looks like we should have a bit of target practice. Lots of missed chances by the sound of it.

Reports seem to be indicating that we played pretty well and were unlucky.

Lets all do a Wenger - 'it's a rubbish cup anyway'

Kenny, it sounded like we played pretty well tonight - certainly can't put it down to lack of effort.

Sometimes you need a bit of luck to put your chances away as well as good finishing - look at St Michael Owen tonight - he missed FOUR chances in ten minutes against that masterful defensive outfit of Fulham.

I do believe we're going to beat Arsenal. I do. I was there the last time we beat them, 0-1 about 5 years ago, in with the home supporters and we had to sit on our hands when we scored. And then we found everyone around us was doing the same and we all started cheering. Steve Watson and Darren Peacock were great in central defence. Same again a week from now.

There is no way you can single out Bellamy especially when Shearer missed some chances that were just as easy.

Listening on the radio i was fed up of hearing Shearer giving away free kick after free kick for backing in elbows etc . he costs us a lot more than we realise. And as an old school chum i dont say this lightly but id put him in midfield or bring him on for the 2nd half only when his pace wont be quite as shown up.

I'm not getting into an argument over this, but the team didn't play badly tonight, and there was nothing at all wrong with the effort.

Regarding Shearer's misses, he flashed one header over the bar from about 10 yds, and apart from that I can't recall him missing any other clear chances. In addition, he didn't give away that many free kicks - perhaps 5 in the entire game - and frankly, that idiot Elleray only gave us a total of maybe 2 free-kicks in the entire 1st half. He also contrived to book Bernard for diving, when the lad was blatantly chopped down 6" outside the PA. Elleray's overall performance was cr@p.

Just listening to a Chelsea fan on 5Live who reckons we were robbed! That makes me feel even worse.

Seeing as we're all being to completely 'objective' here, I reckon Chelsea's two young CB's - Terry and Gallas - are absolutely outstanding. SGE should be taking a good look at John Terry - I reckon he's better defender than Sol Campbell - although the WC will probably come a little early for him.

Just like they robbed us in the FA Cup semi. I'm beginning to hate Chelsea even more now! I hope we blOody murder them at SJP.

I don't really hate Chelsea as a team, but a lot of their fans are a fickle bunch. Le Saux is a big ponce though.

It doesn't work with Sting here or in Oz. It doesn;t work with Tynedale in Oz. It doesn;t work with Bobby in Wark or Susie Brown Ale in Ryton. and even Evergreens has gone belly-up. I can only think that we've tried just about EVERY combination of superstitions in London except for two:

Dan - move out of London.

Gav - move out of London.

Failing that - find that Bjarni bloke that we lost at Crystal Palace...

Oops

Gav - move out of London.

I don't think the jinx affects Gav at all. I think he's our top scorer there. :-)

Not anymore....I'm retired :))

Sad as it is, I did wonder whether it was my fault.....that's another reason why i didn't go to the game last night....hoping that it'd make them win :((

there is a curse. we'll never win in slumdon

-- Anonymous, December 13, 2001

No curse, just how it goes sometimes. I have Jimmy Greaves beside me who says to say 'it's a funny old game'...and you know, he's right...and an alcoholic as well. How does he find time for both?
