is there any trick to prevent self developed negatives from curling? especially lateral curling is very annoying. i dry them with appropriate film clips. that doesn't help. i never had this problem when i had access to a film drying cabinet. now i do it in my bathroom. what can i do?

Film dries from the top down. If you cut the strip in half it will dry fastr and the amount of film between clips is only half as long reducing the tendency to curl.

Try a wetting agent like Tetanal, just a few drops at the end of the wash.
