[Humor] Supporting Terrorist Governments

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Beyond the Sidewalks : One Thread

I saw this snippet posted in another forum and just had to share:

Reading the Patriot Act revealed a stunning Catch-22. It's a crime, under the Patriot Act, to give funds to any organization which is, or has, given money to a known terrorist or terrorist supporting group, even if you don't know you did it.

Well, the Taliban is listed as a Terrorist Supporting group now by our government. And, the U.S. Government has given them millions of dollars, thus making the Feds one of those criminal organizations supporting terrorists.

Which means, if you pay your taxes, you're a criminal.
Gotta call the IRS about this.
What fun.

And don't forget your tax dollars that are being used at The School of the Americas or whatever they are calling it now. It's no charm school.

Okay, so we're criminals if we DO pay taxes and we are criminals if we DON'T pay taxes. So, no matter what we do we're criminals. I guess it's time to go with it. Who has the black flag and a pole on which to hoist it? Who wants to be in charge of cheerleading -- pillage/burn, pillage/burn, pillage/burn! Who can bring sandwiches? Polly, how 'bout some of that smoked sausage -- that makes good pillaging food doesn't it? {Where did I put my horned helmet . . . }

Wait! What should we pillage? Maybe IRS offices . . . . :-D

One of my Asatru (Norse Paganism) buddies has a T-shirt that says "The Vikings didn't pillage and burn, they performed pre-emptive salvage operations." :)
