I hate Tottenham

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

There's something about them that really f**ks me off. Why is it that everyone is obsessed by them? They get so much attention from the press about what a class side they are. All this crap about them looking for a Champions League place and they lose at Charlton. God I hope they lose tonight. Bastards.....

Back of the queue, take away those 3 points we gifted them and they're nowhere.

I found that amusing; how they've got such fantastic players all they have to do is turn up and they'll be awarded the points.

In fashion - Tottenham is last years Black.

They're the new MoanU, but without the talent. Err, and the trophies. ;-)

No, they're the new Chelsea.

The media is riddled with tiresome fair-weather Chelsea fans who at the start of every season throw Chelsea into those Championship Contenders articles, despite the fact they perenially acheive shit- all in the league. Now they appear to be losing patience with the Blues, they're talking up Spurs instead.

Yes - Spurs on my list too! The trouble is the sports media is full of Spurs fans. I know of 2 NUFC supporters in the whole of the sports media. Now granted I don't know EVERYONE on TV or who writes in newspapers but of the ones I come across on Sky, BBC and the main daily newspapers, there are 2. The predjudices and bias of the rest are very evident. It's all West Ham, Arsenal, Spurs and Man U.

They have a manager who is even more repulsive than their last manager; they refer to things such as "The Spurs Way"; they reside in the pustular zit on the acne-ridden bum of humanity that is the Seven Sisters Road; they have an absurd Boro-type chorus of "Glory, Glory" when the score; they campaigned to get refunds when we beat them 6-1 a couple of years ago; they are wide-boys who associate cash with class...

Sorry, I can't get more than half interested in Spurs. They're a mediocre side with mediocre fans. The media obsession is a large joke but merely makes them look more stupid than they are.

Hate is a word I wouldn't like to use against any team but I dislike the following more than I do Spurs (in no particular order).

Sunderland, Manure, Leeds, Bolton, Southampton, Villa, Arsenal, Middlesborough, Leicester and West Ham.

Thank you, Dougal. Your description of Seven Sisters Road made me spit a mouthful of Sprite all over my computer screen. It needed cleaning anyway. ;-D

I can't really dislike Spurs. I've always felt they were in a similar boat to Newcastle - inconsistent, underacheiving but still saddled with perenially high expectations from their fans.

If our name's on it, we'll win it. It'll have s0d all to do with Spores on anybody else.

Plus, THERE IS NO LONDON JINX

It's their fans I can't stand. Bunch of self important whinging tossers. Much prefer Arsenal fans, always have a good away day at Highbury regardless of the result.

Anyone remember that cockney Spurs fan a few of us met in Liverpool Street after the Leyton Orient game? He attached himself to our little group via Grant, if I recall.

He was a proper c**t him.
