Poecentral.com has articles on The Raven. Poe's The Philosophy of Composition describes how he wrote the poem though it does not seem trustworthy(www.eapoe.org). The Raven in general as Poe claims is an emblem of everlasting and mournful remembrance and an ironic connection established by the narrator turns into a real connection with raven, symbol and his tortured fate.
