Hello all fellow Leica users, I AM CURRENTLY RESEARCHING THE LEICA 111D (111c with self-timer)AND WOULD WELCOME ANY INFORMATION ON THIS MODEL LEICA, IN PARTICULAR THE DETAILS OF ANY KNOWN SAMPLES.

According to my "Hove Pocket Book", this is a relatively rare camera with a total production of 427 cameras. The duration of production was 1939-1947, from serial numbers 360002 to 367325. During some of those years the rate of manufacture was unbelievably small, with only one camera being made in both 1939 and 1947... and none made in 1946. 1944 was the spike with a whopping 290 cameras being made. The book states that no variations were made of this camera.

I would say that these are pretty rare. I hope this information is helpful.
