Web Site for TV Products (Misc.)

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I've sure you have done it also. You see a product offered on TV but don't get the number or details down in time. You may not see the ad for a while. If you go to either www.smartinventions.com or www.800tvshop.com, you will find the products there. They can be ordered directly off of the site.

Here's another site:

As Seen On TV

Oooh, oooh, oooh, I want the pocket fisherman and the slim whitman album if bj gets the ginsu. Seriously has anyone really bought any of this junk and truly been happy with such a purchase. I remember as a kid seeing the huxtors selling the latest knife sharpener or kitchen slicer/dicer at the state fair and making a piece of expensive junk seem just wonderful. I'm sure my ancestors knew the medicine show coming to town. A $1 bottle of secret herbs and plenty of alchohol that cures anything, especially that jangle in your pocket. Same difference just bigger audience now on tv. If anybody really wants this stuff, wait about 6months after Xmas and hit ebay or preferably garage sales. Big discount guarenteed.

They also show up in the Harriet Carter catalog (www.harrietcarter.com), but apparently at the same price and S&H as the TV ad.

I am interested in the Quick Chop. Has anyone bought one? Are you satisifed?

I recently bought what was called a TURBO COOKER. This is a pan with a teflon type lining, very high sides, and basket type tray and a large dome lid. This was touted as being cookware that you could cook in and not need oil. I love this pan, and my house guest calls it my "magic" pan. No oil is needed to fry, and while whatever is cooking on the bottom, another layer is cooking on the basket tray, at the same time. I have cooked hamburgers and pork chops, and you wouldn't know that they weren't fried in a frying pan with oil. At the same time they were cooking, I had pasta cooking in a corning ware type dish, on the basket tray. The basket tray is similar to the bamboo baskets that were sold with woks. Of course, the stainless steel basket tray is much more sanitary than the bamboo baskets. For anyone who must limit their fat intake, but loves fried food, I highly recommend one of these. My next attempt will be fried chicken!

I want that water hose that curls up like a telephone handset cord. I really really want it. I've only ever seen one commercial for it.
