I would like to know who this was written about as well. I was in Charleston SC this week. I went on a GHOST WALK. And they told the story of Anabelle Lee. I want to know if it is true. They say Edgar Allan Poe was stationed in Charleston at the age of 28. Fell in love with a local girl. 13 years old. Her family were very upset about the love between the two. They locked the girl in a room where she died of Malaria. Her and Edgar use to meet in a cemetary behind the Unitarian church. She is supposedley buried there and he use to sit and right poetry. And that is were the story of Anabele Lee was written. Please let me know if you have found any reseach on this subject. Thank you so much. Tricia
