Kieron Dyer is. It's nice to see his name in the squad list after all this time.

Poor Warren. I really do feel sorry for him. He goes from first choice to forgotten man in a matter of weeks. I know he was playing poorly but that's never stopped him getting in the team before! What has he done I wonder to upset BR so much.

(It's not that I want him in the team but it just seems strange)

Yea you have to feel sorry for him. About a week before he was dropped he was doing an interview on the radio and said, "i always hope i'll get a 2nd chance" referring to England. Now he doesn't even play for Newcastle.

He always gave his all. But if the manager made decisions through sympathy where would we be?

You're right about the sympathy bit - no room for sentiment. It's just when I watched him for the reserves he just looked a sorry site. He still tried hard and as you say, gave his all - which was more than some of them did.

I guess it just seems more strange in his case since he was dropped very suddenly and completely. Not even moved down to the bench before fading away.

All very curious. I don't particularly want him back in the team, but it all seems a very shabby way to treat a loyal pro.

Re Dyer, anyone see "Look North"? Bobby said that he might play for half an hour on Sunday while Alan said that we haven't missed Kieron but that his coming back will be like a £20 million signing...

BTW, are we back training at the Riverside? Those pics from training on Look North looked very familiar.

I have always blown more cold that hot on WB. Never doubted his commitment to the club and the game, only his innate footballing ability. I think it would be in his interest if he were to find another club, and NUFC should help him in that direction.Regreatably, loyalty and enthusiasm are not enough.

....... not even enough to get him in the squad right now!
We're paying this guy serious bread, and if he isn't considered good enought to even sit on the bench I sincerely hope we are actively trying to fix him up with another Club.

I suspect we are, Clarky, but unfortunately, no club is going to go anywhere close to matching his wages bearing in mind his limitations. He'll no doubt be off on a free in the summer.

Dougal, that was old footage they showed of the training. Probably all they had of LKD. AFAIK we are still training behind closed doors at Longbenton.

Oh, according to the Journal, they are back at Chester-Le-Street. Shows what depending on the local media is worth..
