Filthy Mackems - Reyna

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

The dotrty bassas have got Reyna for 4mil. Surely this is good business? Why didn't we look at him. Do we have no cash or does Bobby not rate him?

Can anyone substantiate this De la Pena rumour? Or is it more paper talk to frustrate us again?

When I asked this last week, just about everyone on here reckoned he wasn't good enough for us. Now based on last nights performace I would say he wouldn't have been worth a look, but then again Amerus, Amouruso, Amer, anyway Rangers Italian defender with long hair, looked good and he's normally shit. I think Reyna could have done a job for us and would have been a really good buy.

A good buy in purely commercial terms: US in World Cup finals, Reyna's their captain: the Makems will sell a few shirts over there I'd imagine.

he's a good player. better than lee & speed acuna & co. a bit like lee clark only with a bit more power & pace. however, i hope our aspirations are higher.

Wouldn't have made my nipples go hard if we'd signed him, certainly no better than anything we already have in midfield. Another workmanlike player who should fit right in at the Stadium of Mediocrity.

Ironically, we could do with that sort of player while the Makems could probably do with the sort of player we have coming from injury, Kieron Dyer.

BTW, the PSG manager said this morning that he doesn't want Anelka to leave but refuses to keep a player against his will so if "Nico wants to leave, he can do so". However, they aren't interested in letting him go out on loan at this point.
