I was wondering if the EOS Rebel 2000 takes better pictures with a certain type, brand of film??

It has nothing to do with the camera, but some films are better for some subjects than others.

If the subjects are primarily people you are usually better off with a portrait film or at least one of the few general purpose films that do a good job with skin color. Fuji: Superia Reala, NPS, NPH or Kodak Portra in whatever speed.

If it's landscapes and other scenes that need a lot of punched up color, try Fuji Velvia. If you need high speed color film try Fuji NPZ. For balck & white I like Kodak Tri-X

Try them all & see what you like. Most perfectionists don't like Kodak Max of any flavor or Fuji Superia 400, but...
