The study of adolescence was popularized by G. Stanley Hall in his 1904 book _Adolescence: Its psychology and its relations to physiology, anthropology, sociology, sex, crime, religion, and education_. Hall was also the founder of the American Journal of Psychology, Pedagogical Seminary (later Journal of Genetic Psychology) and the American Psychological Association.
