Hi, I have a Sony H8 digital Camcorder (PAL), I can not play its tape on my NTSC TV, what could I do to solve this problem? Is it possible to recorder to VCD via my Sony VAIO computer? What software do I need I can do simple editing of these vedio on my computer, but the qulity is poor.

I assume you can input video through a capture device on your PC. If so, download Virtualdub, and use it in capture mode to capture the footage to an AVI. Then download and use TMPGEnc to encode the AVI to an MPEG 1 or 2 (VCD or SVCD). Then use Nero or equivalent to write the MPEG to a VCD. If you stick with durations of less than 35 minutes of video, you can use the SVCD standard, and achieve quality that is as good as the camcorder can record.
