Bellamy spills the beans

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread

Don't know if anyone else saw it, but on cafe sport on TTTV yesterday Bellamy talked about the Spanish Incident. Said he was stupid to do it but liked the fact that they had been bollocked and the matter was then dropped. Also wished Dyer hadn't been involved since he thinks it would have had no coverage otherwise. Bit of a change from "we had no idea until they told us to leave" but better to tell the truth even if it is a bit late.

Poor Kieron will be left on his own next time the lads go out on the lash. ;-)

Nice to hear Bellamy sounding like he learned something from it all. now if we can just teach him to keep his mouth shut around referees....

Too true Ciara. Bellamy's yellow on Sat was another pisspoor decision by D'Urso, explicable only if he was factoring in all the times Bellamy had mouthed off at him previously in the match. Littlejohn would doubtless have encouraged the ref to take perceived infringements by Bellamy in all other games into account and sent him off ...

All this Littlehampton stuff is second hand to me only from the standpoint that by reading the drivel of him and his ilk, and then reacting to it, we give him all the encouragement his pathetic ego needs.

Ignore the sad tawt completely. His garbage becomes pointless if only those who agree with him respond.

I was impressed by Bellamy on cafe sport. He came across as fairly thoughtful and mature for someone of his years.

That (somehow?) reminds me of a Welsh guy at University with me, we called him Dai (his real name) 18 months...why, because he only had 1.5 ears (rugby 'injury') - put on a Welsh accent and say "years" and you might get it!

P.S. not a(nother) racist remark ;7)

Speaking as a proper Taffy from the Rhonda (boyo) I find Bud's reference to the people and sheep of Wales offensive (isn't it). The bigotry and narrow mindedness (boyo) of this BBS (isn't it, boyo, rugby, mining, male voice choirs) makes me want to contact my Welsh Parliamentary spokesperkin (perkin = non-gender specific reference to people).

We keep a welcome in the hillsides...'cos we don't want you in our house. "Land of my fathers, they can bloody well keep it" - Dylan Thomas

Come on Mr Rare Bit, it goes without saying - or at least without being talked about. Anyway, what's wrong with a nice shank of lamb?

-- Anonymous, December 04, 2001

.... oh c'mon then tell us, just HOW nice is it shanking lambs, Mr Giggs?
